OUR HISTORY.
Music has been part of the curriculum at Culver-Stockton since it was founded in 1853.
1914 - "Here's to Culver-Stockton" became school song. Song was dedicated to Carl Johann and written by W. Eben Schultz (1906 alumnus)
1918 - "Here's to Culver-Stockton" was published and used as school song since.
1920 - Lorenzo G. Fachinato hired to direct band and orchestra at Culver-Stockton
1924 - 1st band organized in fall under the direction of Lorenzo G. Fachinato with 20 members
1925 -The band led the first homecoming parade and subsequent parades for the next several years.
1928 - First uniform was introduced
1937 - New uniforms (uniform 2) were bought
1953 - New uniforms (uniform 3) bought again as part of the college's centennial year.
1963 was the last year the yearbook mentions band participating in the homecoming game and football games.
2019 - Ryan Christian'03 hired to resurrect the Athletic Bands (marching/pep) at Culver-Stockton
2020 - New uniforms (uniform 4) were designed and purchased to debut in the fall
Fall 2020 - Sept 19 - Marching Band debut and only performance of the year due to Covid-19 - (31 members)
Fall 2021 - 2nd Edition of C-SC's "Thrill on the Hill" Marching Band (38 members)
Fall 2022 - 3rd Edition of C-SC's "Thrill on the Hill" Marching Band (58 members)
Fall 2023 - 4th Edition of C-SC's "Thrill on the Hill" Marching Band (53 members)
Fall 2024 - 5th Edition of C-SC's "Thrill on the Hill" Marching Band (TBA)
